Big change: Four warehouses from two countries into one DC
Complex times require simple solutions that bring opportunities. The HOPI and Nestlé case study will therefore focus on a project that has significantly simplified transport, storage and subsequent distribution. Four original Nestlé warehouses, located in two countries – the Czech Republic and Slovakia – were relocated to one location. It was a very demanding project for both parties involved, and in the case of Nestlé everything was exacerbated by the fact that it marked such a fundamental change after 20 years. The HOPI Prostějov center was considerably expanded and modernized, and therefore the client receives not only the benefit of storing pallets in high racks, picking and dispatch, but also a full service of packaging and processing of goods. We will learn how a comprehensive project of storage, transport and VAS was prepared and implemented, not to mention what benefits it has brought for the leading FMCG manufacturer.
