Blockchain in logistics – experiences, uses and the outlook for the future
Blockchain technology, known mainly from the world of cryptocurrencies, is gradually finding application in the corporate sphere as well. Logistics was one of the first areas in which this technology – along with the more general DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) for decentralized transaction processing – was tested (in 2017). In this presentation, we will summarize the situation as of 2021 and look at what are the previous experiences and typical areas of use. We will also present several concrete projects that have achieved greater expansion abroad (TradeLens, FoodTrust, WeTrade), and we will also mention the first Czech project (ELA Chain), which has the chance to be realized in this area.
