Clever or stupid warehouseman
Many companies have trouble recruiting, and finding good workers is even more difficult. There is a lack of suitable candidates even just for the position of warehouseman. At the same time, every warehouseman carries a part of the know-how in his head, and the demands on his knowledge and orientation in the warehouse are only growing. Newcomers must also go through training and get involved in company processes as quickly as possible, and that’s not always easy either. In this case study, the furniture company Helcel Nábytek and its supplier K2 will present how they solved this problem by introducing a WMS module within the corporate information system. In the presentation, you will see how the entire implementation turned out, what the problems were, and most importantly, what this solution brought to Helcel Nábytek. The original several weeks needed to onboard a new warehouse worker became just a few hours using the WMS and barcode scanners.
