Libor Přeučil is the founder and head of the Intelligent and Mobile Robotics Research Laboratory (IMR), at the Czech Technical University in Prague – Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) and is the co-founder of the Centre for Advanced Outdoor Robotics (CAFR). His interest is focused on basic and applied research, development, as well as industrial application of artificial intelligence methods and tools in advanced robotics. AI research and applications extend the autonomy capabilities of robots, bringing robots the ability to autonomously navigate in changing or unfamiliar environments in the presence of humans, even without communication availability. Thanks to close contact and collaboration with the global research community in the field of intelligent robotics, the workplace also brings many new, previously unavailable solutions for non-standard Pick & Place tasks, along with new and improved optimization procedures with applications for planning and scheduling not only in distribution networks, logistics and automated warehouse systems, but also elsewhere.
