Petr Smíšek is the director of the distribution centre of K&V Elektro. During more than 20 years, he has worked in a number of positions – he started as a warehouseman and gradually worked his way up to the head of various logistics departments and then to the position of the head of the central warehouse. Under his leadership, the company’s logistics has undergone a significant transformation – from the original smaller warehouse of 2,500 m² with covered and uncovered areas and several external warehouses, a modern logistics centre in Nehvizdy has been created. The new 10,000 m² warehouse, to which the company will move in 2021, includes, among other things, a newly built parcel service department. Thanks to these facilities, it was possible to increase operational efficiency, eliminate external warehouses and build a robotic warehouse system.
