Vera Economou leads the ESG Group Competence Center and coordinates corporate ESG experts across Raiffeisen Bank International’s network banks. She manages the frameworks of green and social bonds supporting such green and social bonds of RBI network banks in CEE. After gaining international experience as a business consultant in Hong Kong for four years, she joined RBI in 2011. Vera Economou holds a master’s degree in quantitative assets and risk management from Fachhochschule des BFI Wien and an MBA in finance from WU Executive Academy with an international residency at Harvard University in Boston. She is CESGA certified ESG analyst from EFFAS, and she has authored a research article on responsible global leadership. Through ESG services to financial institutions, she facilitates customers’ transition to responsible and sustainable business models, provides guidelines on projects assessment for sustainable impact, ESG customer assessment, and develops measures to increase staff awareness and brand recognition.
